Each plant is tracked, initially as a batch of saplings, and, after planting, as individual trees.
At planting, each tree is given an individual identity and QR code, which follows it until it is harvested, and then each board is given a new ID and QR code.
If they choose, the buyer can register the application of the board on the platform and the tracking can continue through recycling to direct reuse or the ultimate combustion, e.g., as district heating.
