Enabling sustainable transition of construction through optimized supply of biogenic building materials
BUILD17 was founded in 2019 with the vision of developing solutions that can assist the building industry in the green transition.
With this industry’s emission accounting for approximately 1/3 of the total CO2 emissions, the goal was to develop solutions on how to significantly reduce this emission. Since the industrialization, approximately one-third of the world’s total forest areas have been globally cleared, contributing to the exacerbation of CO2 emissions.
Significantly faster carbon storage
Through the planting of fast-growing biogenic building materials, Build17 combines carbon capture with the development of construction materials that can substitute for high CO2 footprint materials. This not only creates a profitable investment for those who develop plantations but also offers the construction industry alternatives that can reduce the overall carbon footprint.
